It sounds like your really enjoy this job. I think there's nothing quite as satisfying, perhaps, as working with small children or the elderly. Both give you such tremendous insight and wisdom.Carolina M. Before i took down my stories there was a short tale for One Minute Writer.."Metamorphosis" was the prompt. I wrote "Today, I Met a Morphis". I think I will repost. May I use you as a thought provolker?.. thnx, Glennglnrozhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12922837344762102334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1907885067602758337.post-42511387090229109992010-03-10T13:06:53.775-05:002010-03-10T13:06:53.775-05:00"...tears have poured down a lined face durin..."...tears have poured down a lined face during lunch, after a friend has disappeared for good." You got me with that one. I'm remembering the year that my dad was in the nursing home with alzheimers, and how patients just disappeared. When he died, the staff shuffled all the patients into their rooms, saying that it was better for them to not see the body being carried away. I had my doubts about that theory, but I'm sure they knew best. Of course, they (the residents) knew what was going on, as I had been on death watch 24hrs a day for several days. On my last day there, after removing his stuff, they were lined up in the hallway with a handshake or a hug as I left, and with kind words about my dad and about how they thought I had been such a good daughter. I know if I went back today, two years later, they would most likely all have 'disappeared' as well.

Even at the relatively young age of 61, I have begun to seriously realize that my days are numbered, that tomorrow is not guaranteed. Thanks for the eloquent reminder to take down my own boxes.Wander to the Waysidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14056931538024315352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1907885067602758337.post-56115008887730004042010-03-10T12:30:05.441-05:002010-03-10T12:30:05.441-05:00Love more deeply.
