Instead, I think. I know I could write and then delete most of what I wrote (but get the juices flowing), and this works for some people. But, I hate writing and deleting. I've tried that option and didn't like it at all. Now, I wait. The characters will speak to me. I usually think and rip up carpet, or think and paint a room. Once you're all thought out, you'll get back to writing.
