Lobster: Eating the Experience

Happy Friday all.  You can find today's blog post "Lobster: Eating the Experience" here, at South Shore Living.

Reminder:  if you want to participate in JP's Second Annual St. Patrick's Day Blog Fest, you can click here - Where Sky Meets Ground.

I attended the first session of my fiction writing workshop this week, left and started working on a short story. Can you say "inspired?"

How did the your writing go this week?

  4. That's awesome! And one of the reasons I like to go to writer's conferences at least once a year--so I can be inspired and get my head on straight again. :)

  5. Tried to leave a message on the lobster post, but got a message telling me I wasn't good enough ... or maybe it said I didn't have access to do it. Anyway, great article and I am so hungry now.

  6. YAY. I'm trying to finish a short story and get it out there. Finding time has been hard. Maybe I need a workshop to inject some fire into my booty!

  8. Nothing like inspiration, Liza! Yay!

Oh, and that Lobster Eating Experience you shared brought me back to such a happy place...
...every summer (back in the 60's) we would drive out to Montauk Point, get a 10-12 lb lobster (yep, they used to make them that big, lol) and bring it home to feast upon. Oh how I remember the 'dripping down the elbows' :). I'm afraid we never learned proper lobster-eating etiquette, and to this day, my husband cringes if I order lobster from the menu, even if we eat it in open air...

  11. Great piece at South Shore Living! I could feel the butter and broth dripping past my wrists toward my elbows and smell the corn coming to a boil. Yummm.

Glad you came away from your workshop feeling so inspired. Are you going to share the bounty of that inspiration with us when it's finished? Pretty please?

    Have a great weekend!

  12. Oh, there is nothing quite so good at filling your creativity well as hanging around a group of determined writers! Yay!
My writing life is going pretty well - I have two weeks before I send my novel 'True' to a line-editor and I am in good shape. Now I'm going to go read that lobster story. yum.
