Slow Beans for a Fast Life

    Hi - we got 15 or so centimetres yesterday and are expecting hmmm...let me check....45 by tomorrow morning which will be nearly 2 feet of snow - that doesn't seem like too much but it is the speed of it which causes all sorts of problems with clearing etc... I'm having a stay at home snow day - catching up on blog visits and getting my submission ready for Debut Dagger!

    A little too much snow here in Eastern NY -- 8 inches yesterday, freezing rain today.

    No percipitaion yet, though the possibility is there for tomorrow or Friday. What we are experiencing now is COLD (for us.) Here it is 10 AM and it's just 17 degrees. Probably the coldest I've seen in all my years of living in the area of Texas.

    So I'm baking today....

    Argh.. we got about 15 inches.. is it too early to say I'm officially done with winter??

    It got almost cold enough. But all we got was rain. I hates me some rain. Though, I'm thankful to water the fields. So God forgive me. But rain when I could have had snow? *stomps foot*

    Oh those beans sound good!

    It's hard to say just how much snow we got on account of all the wind that brought it in. Maybe 8 to 10 inches? Really, not all that much...

    So far, we've gotten nothing but cold temperatures, although the prediction is for 1-2 inches of accumulated snow tomorrow morning. Now I know that sounds like nothing for most, but us in central Texas, it's amazing. We're freezing (for us) and are putting up with random power outages.

    Liza, I tried to comment over at South Shore twice. I even filled out the form. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that recipe sounds delicious. Copied and pasted. I can't wait to try it. Mmmmm, we're supposed to get winter weather tonight, so I think tomorrow will be a good time to try it. :) I like the hints of fellowship and tradition part too.
