Passings

My grand-niece strolled on the mud flats on her last week of freedom before school.  We'd been out for fried clams at a restaurant that looks over a harbor, and needing to walk it off, took a sunset stroll. We can't stop time, but sometimes I wish I could press the pause button before summer ends, so we can take a moment to really see it all--before the tides flow back in, the weather turns cool, and a little girl squelching through the muck, decides she's too old for it and grows up,

  3. Hi Liz - sadly time ne'er stops for any little grand-niece or us lot! I quite agree with your sentiments .. and here the sea mist has rolled in - I hope it gets blown away shortly ... even for those few last weeks of late summer weather ...

    Cheers Hilary

  4. Precious moments! We cannot bottle them but photos and videos help to capture them.

  5. Gorgeous photo!

I'm not sure I was ever a squelching through mud kind of kid. I was more of a curl up on the couch with a book and some cookies kid. :)

  6. Lovely, as always. Hopefully she'll always enjoy squelching through the mud, particularly with her great aunt.
