Just Keep Swimming...

Do any of you know Dory, from Finding Nemo? She's how I feel right now. Not in a bad way, but like there is a goal out there, and I'm going to figure out how to get to it, no matter how mixed up I seem.

To that end, there was no post yesterday, because, among other things, I was going back and forth with someone to finalize this:

Cross your fingers for me. If this works, I get to keep writing.

Today though, is dedicated to pie crusts (2 apple, a cherry and a pecan...maybe two of those) that I will make and chill, to roll out on Wednesday. Then there are about five table clothes to iron. Ugh.

Happy Saturday folks!

And save me a slice of pecan, please. My hips won't thank you but my mouth will.

Praying for you, I know God will manifest His presence in every way that you need. Writing is in you- He put it there!

How many do you have coming to your house? Wow, five pies. That's too many. My address is...

Suzy and Sharon, wishing nice "pie" thoughts and sending them your way. Tamika, you are right, and no matter what happens, I'll keep at it...it would be easier and more fun this way though. Helen, final count is 28. So five pies, well, those as well as the pumpkin cheesecake that's coming and the cookies someone else is bringing will hopefully cover it. We have lots of hungry teens...

Mmm, the pie crusts sound yummy. My mom & gram used to make cinnamon cookies out of the left over pie crusts. So good!

PS: Thanks for the heads up on the Writer's Digest contest!! I'll give it a try!

I love it when someone starts something on their own. Good luck with the adventure. PS, on my earlier post (babysitting), I watched NEMO 5343 times this weekend. Dora was the glue to it all.. lol

Liza: cinnamon pie cookies are easy, just put the left over pie crust dough into a separate pie tin, sprinkle plenty of cinnamon/sugar on 'em and bake for 8 min or so. They are delish & will always remind me of my grandma's kitchen.
