For those of you who don't know, Middle Passages began as a vehicle to help me recover from the shock of an unexpected corporate downsizing. A year ago, I wrote this. Two years ago I wrote this.

Seven hundred and twenty nine days later, here I am. This “new” life has become, well, life. I’m still rifling through the pages, trying to guess what the next chapter will bring. It’s a more subdued anniversary then the last one. Success hasn't always been evident. Nonetheless, I still can’t wait to sit in front of the computer and let words drip out of my fingers. I could have snowed the world with resumes two years ago. No doubt I would have landed something, but at what cost? The me you read here in these posts is the me I'm supposed to be; the one I should have been all along. Nothing can convince me otherwise.
Not only can I do this. I must do this.
It’s the only thing I know for sure.

Here's to Middle Passages on its second anniversary. I thank each and every one of you for reading.
Happy Friday to all. Hope those affected are recovering from the storm that impacted so many.

Congratulations Liza! Isn't it wonderful how we can leap off a cliff and not only have spectacular views on the way down, but land safely? It's a good thing.
Happy days, Liza. Congrats! I love that the you we read in your posts is the one you should have been all along. I've known that ever since I first met you. I think some people never realize that. You're blessed that you did.
Here's to many more. :)
You're doing so well!
I was able to look at the "one year ago", which was thought provoking and deep, but everytime I clicked the other one, I was sent to my blogger dashboard. Boo!
Here's to another two years of climbing up!

Ahhh, I can so relate. I left my corporate job without looking back, and yes, this feels much better!
Happy blog-versary! Wow, all that snow and we can't even get a flurry...I'm so jealous!
Happy anniversary dear heart. Yes....we MUST. Is there any other true reason?

The gift of realizing who you should have been all along and then getting to be that person... how beautiful. I have used those words nearly verbatim myself recently. This is truly the only way to be able to offer the talents you are meant to share with the world!
Congratulations on two years and a journey of YOU!
Happy Anniversary and thank you for including us on your journey. I think it's significant that after two years you still are excited about your decision.
Two years is great! Time can heal many things, and life never slows down. So my philosophy is to keep on keeping on, and things will surely improve.
"Here's to Middle Passages, ie Ms. Liz" Congrats to you and good luck on continuing with all your new projects..Thank you for your posts and the support that you have given to all us. glenn
*smiling* when I stopped working outside the home to write full time I was terrified! Everything would depend on my husband's salary - and for someone independent minded, that's difficult to wrap my brain around... but, it's been the best decision I ever made, even when I'm wishing I were more successful at it :-D
wonderful post
Slightly belated congrats Liza! I wish I knew what I was doing the way you do, but I'm working on it....
It's good to be back in the blogosphere. (even if it is part-time at the moment) I've missed being able to interact with and learn from all of the very kind and talented people that I've met along the way, and you are most certainly one of them.
Here's to many more anniversaries as you continue to do what you were meant to do!
Blessings,
Martha
Happy second anniversary, good lady! I don't comment often, m'dear, but I read almost everything. It makes me happy to hear about the cheese shop and the bay in its various seasonal aspects.
Write on, Liza!
