Sure it's a cliche, but once in a while, a picture (or two) is worth a thousand words. In this case, after a relentless winter from which deposits of snow still linger, these unexpected discoveries on the first day of spring are at least worth 998 or 999.

I love snow drops. I haven't seen any since we moved.
We don't have spring here. It's going to be 75 today and 85 tomorrow. Of course last week it was 35 so we go from winter to summer pretty quick. No crocus, daffs, or tulips either. And if there are they don't last long.
It's definitely spinging here. Trees budding, flowers trying to bloom. But it's dry, dry, dry. We are in desperate need of rain.
Beautiful pictures!
I have bulbs coming up too! I just hope I see the flowers before the deer can get them.
Oh, and how I love anything that involves words. :)
I don't know 'bout you,,but I am READY to see this.
Wait! You have flowers blooming?! I'm so jealous. We have brown grass and more snow coming tonight. So thank you for sharing your spring with me. I needed it.
So pretty! I know you were glad to see them pop up!
Ah sweet promises of life and love returning... Gorgeous photos, Liza.
Beautiful photos! :)
So pretty! I don't have these in my yard, so the picts are more special for me.
I'm going to keep these nearby, as we are expecting more snow tonight--and tomorrow...
Ahhh, snow drops! Sooo pretty! Spring's peeking out a bit here. Hope she doesn't get frostbite as we're expecting two inches of snow tomorrow night.
Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing!
