The Breakfast Cronicles

Those living in close proximity to the Massachusetts South Shore might be interested in visiting the locations I've written about in my two most recent South Shore Living posts, below.  For you readers from far away...well, there nothing wrong with living...or eating, vicariously, right?

Rainy Day Diner

Over and Easy

Happy weekend to all.  And if you are so inclined,  I'd love to hear about your favorite breakfast haunts!

I haven't had breakfast in a real diner in about ten years. No that's not true, it has been since the Monster was born, I think Middletown near the Christmas Tree shop, maybe right before we moved down to NC but they ended up getting rid of it for Home Depot parking lot or something because it wasn't there when we went this summer.

There's nothing like those long silver cars. They don't make them like that anymore. And I haven't seen one outside New England. Can you get coffee milk in Quincy, or is that still just a Rhode Island thing.

I can't remember the last time I went out for breakfast - but sometimes I wouldn't mind a nice fry up - vegetarian of course (sorry!) consisting of eggs, lots of buttered toast, mushrooms... and lots of ketchup! Yum!! And coffee. Good strong coffee.

Take care

I love to go out for breakfast! We don't have any great places around here to eat breakfast. There is one place in Asheville. Can't think of the name though. I just love cooking it. And hubby makes the most scrumptious pecan pancakes. Mmmmmm

Oh, I've had a longtime dream of visiting New England. And I will some day!

Yeah, we never go out for breakfast.

You write good reviews (I know how tricky it is--I used to write them for the daily newspaper I worked for).
There's a crepe place in San Clemente, CA that makes a breakfast crepe with brie, orange butter and orange slices. Incredible.

I love going out with my family for a leisurely Sunday brunch. We don't get together often but when we do, we're spoilt for choice and will often wander up and down Main Street listening to which restaurant is playing the best music and use that as the basis for choice. Sue

Husband is the breakfast lover. He loves cooking it and does the cleanup. In know...I'm spoiled :)

About once a year, we do Breakfast on the Beach.

Vicariously is half my life! However, I was invited to breakfast on Saturday morning on the spur of the moment. Kobe beef with a mushroom reduction sauce, breakfast potatoes, fried eggs and coffee? OMG! What a delicious treat. No restaurant could have been better and in the arms of great friends no less.
