We wake to snow
grey light and
worsted wool suiting
draped across an outside table.
Plump pillows cushion
Adirondack chairs
while white climbs a ladder,
left outside from weekend chores.
Birdhouses pose in caps
knitted by a grandmother,
and all around,
tired bushes bend at the waist
grouped men on mats bowing,
invoking forgiveness,
seeking pardon
from this winter's God.

That is a lot of snow! Looks really cool clinging to the ladder.
Beautiful. I wish we could get that much snow before spring sets in. We are far below our average snowfall.
I am hoping this snow melts asap so spring can arrive early. I'm afraid I tired of winter back in January.
After reading your post, I am looking forward to this. Your post is particular useful, plz keep going. Where to sell runescape accounts?
It's lovely to look at, (especially in a PICTURE...ha!) but winter sure is overstaying its welcome this year, isn't it?
Holy crap. I guess you guys did get socked this year. THAT I don't miss shoveling.
Great pics, even better poetry!
Your way with words and pictures even make snow beautiful. (And that is saying something, because I know that underneath all that pretty lies a whole bunch of cold.)
Beautiful pictures! The ground here in Texas could sure use that snow.
those chairs,those chairs!
Beautiful photos, Liza. The birdhouse really caught my fancy. Wondered if the Bird Family had a little stove.
But I don't think we're going to escape this blizzard so don't know, don't know about this weather.
That's a lot of snow! Look peaceful.
Beautiful photos, Liza. Snow is abundant where I live too, and while I'm cold, I can still appreciate how lovely the outside is. At least until the thrall. Then it's ugly until rainy season. Hope your spring is early.
