Not One Thing, but Another

Here's the truth of it.  I'm not doing much writing, but I'm doing a lot of thinking.  And while I think, I weed. The first draft is barely moving forward, but the garden is looking mighty fine.  See you Wednesday for IWSG.

Weeding needs to be done as well! Sometimes thinking is good.

Yes, it is. You can write all year, but you can only garden for a few months.

And gardening is very therapeutic.

There's nothing wrong with thinking and weeding. I usually think and rip up carpet, or think and paint a room. Once you're all thought out, you'll get back to writing. You need some time to heal, and once you feel better, you'll be able to write again.

looking very pretty and ripping ugly stuff out is worthwhile. If you run out of weeds, feel free to come to TX. But you have to weed before 9 am or 90 degrees, whichever comes first in the day. Take good care!

When I feel disorganized in my mind regarding my story, I tend not to write. Instead, I think. I know I could write and then delete most of what I wrote (but get the juices flowing), and this works for some people. But, I hate writing and deleting. I've tried that option and didn't like it at all. Now, I wait. The characters will speak to me. Sometimes they need just a bit of time.

Your garden's looking great!

LOL. I do the same thing but we've had so much rain, I'm actually getting writing done when I'd rather procrastinate with the weeds.

Thinking is good. And gardening is the best thing to do while you think. :)

I don't do well with plants, have a rather brown thumb. But I do love to weed. There's something very meditative about it.

I've nominated you for the Creative Blogger Award. Hope you come by and pick it up!

Oh my goodness, this is absolutely gorgeous. Thinking, weeding, being creative--- that is what a writer does!

Your garden is beautiful. Weeding gives me time to think which makes the writing better, I believe.
